In the development of the control systems for passenger transportation systems, it is daily business for the engineers at Inautec to ensure the safety of future passengers. They are supported by defined processes which meet the currently valid standards. This includes Hazard analysis and risk assessments as well as the description of the risk mitigation measures necessary to reduce risks to a tolerable level.

The development processes follow predefined procedures and include mechanisms for avoiding errors during specification, design and implementation.

The "four-eye principle" - the examination of individual steps in the process by experienced senior engineers - is used several times. In addition, an internally independent safety assessor ensures compliance with and further development of existing processes.
